Esperance

Hey guys

Am doing a trip over the new year break to albany, then heading on to Esperance from there..
I have never been there before, but am planning to go and check out Cape Le Grand or Cape Arid.. or both.
Can anyone recomend any good spots for camping around these areas? I have not booked anything in advance, as I am hoping to just camp along the beach area.
Any tips would be great

Any number of great spots to camp from about Bremer Bay on, I would recommend Starvation Bay & Munglinup Bay between Hopetoun and Esperance from Esperance to Balladonia (along the "coast" find a spot and camp. Cape Le Grand Caravan Park is a good place to base yourself for a look around on the eastern side of Esperance. Happy Trails

I went to Esperance a long long time ago,so much coast line to explor,I'v always wanted to get back there,being from Sydney it's a long way. Please take plenty of pics and give us a reaport.

Camping at this time of the year is at an absolute premium. You're going to find it difficult to find anything close to Esperance. The rangers are pretty hot on illegal camping andat some places they don't take bookings you just have to take a punt that somebody is moving out of the campsite and you can get in first. Otherwise it's "see ya later pal, move on."

You could go further east on the other side of Arid and hopefully find something a little less crowded but I doubt it. Half of Kalgoorlie head there as well as thousands of locals and generally evryone from around the south coast area.

Good luck. Take a good camera. You'll get more use out of that than you will from a fishing rod.

Bushbasher; thanks for the advise, Im aware its a first in best dressed deal but I will try my luck at le grand, if I have no luck i guess i will try arid.. I will be ariving on the 1st, so hopefully people will be moving on after new years, thats my theory anyway lol
If I have no luck at le grand, are places like lucky bay and hellfire bay included within that range? or are they seperate camping spots?

Ended up snagging a spot at Lucky bay, we put our tent in with the caravan section.
Amazing place, pity its so limited on camping numbers.
