Has anyone come across some form of adaptor to prevent the Trigg Hitch from swinging around on the rounded Prado tow bar tongue?

Re: Prado tow tongue and Trigg hitches
Just buy a replacement tounge that is a standard size. I picked up a Hayman Reece tounge and the treg hitch fits fine.Originally posted by shaycabHas anyone come across some form of adaptor to prevent the Trigg Hitch from swinging around on the rounded Prado tow bar tongue?Nick

Re: Prado tow tongue and Trigg hitches
If you have the genuine cast iron towbar and tounge then it is narrow (55mm wide) inst6ead of the standard width (about 78mm). The difference in width allows the treg hitch to turn when fixed to the tounge which it should not.Originally posted by D4DI never had that problem, can you explain more what is happening?Nick

Re: Prado tow tongue and Trigg hitches
Yep I had the gen hitch too and didn't have a problem. I gave mine a quick rub with some wet and dry to rough up the smooth surface and that gave it enough to bind and not turn. I also purchased a second hitch so I didn't have to take it off all the time. I now have a ball coupling on one hitch and the DO35 spigot on the other.Originally posted by SchafferIf you have the genuine cast iron towbar and tounge then it is narrow (55mm wide) inst6ead of the standard width (about 78mm).
