I have just spoken to a distributor for ROCK WINCH and the person I spoke to said he came back from the factory in China and said that they are the same as Warn Winch pumped out the same factory , they appear to be very simular just want to know if any one else has had experience with Rock Winch and is it true that they are the same just labeled different as I can get them a hell of a lot cheaper than Warn

From everything I've heard and even looking on the Warn site they are NOT made in China but in a combination of USA and MexicoOriginally posted by fishfinderI have just spoken to a distributor for ROCK WINCH and the person I spoke to said he came back from the factory in China and said that they are the same as Warn Winch pumped out the same factory , they appear to be very simular just want to know if any one else has had experience with Rock Winch and is it true that they are the same just labeled different as I can get them a hell of a lot cheaper than Warn

Re: ROCK INDUSTRIES WINCH
Be VERY careful with a claim like that, even if it's true, they may not use exactly the same parts.
example: Milwaukee and AEG tools are made in the same factory. Reason AEG is cheaper is because they don't use metal gears (use some strong plastic instead) and a few other small, but cost cutting, changes.
With something like that, always best to buy a trusted brand<Rob> '12 Prado GX - https://www.pradopoint.com.au/forum/general/my-rig-build-up/32702-i-m-back-with-a-2012-150-gx-toorak-tractor
