  • Light Bars ? Anyone got an opinion ?

The light off them looks awesome ! Anyone here have them on their wagon ? Im thinking seroiusly of buying a bar instead of spotties for my new 150 (6 weeks'ish) .

Its a lot of money for lights but i know the power of LED's and the photos here (maybe a bit of over exposure for the product in question) look really good.

It really comes down to what you expect from the lights.
From what I have seen the LED light bars throw a great spread fairly close but no great distance. Suitable for low speed work along a bush track for example but not great for highway travel.

So if you want lights for country road travel etc I think normal halogen or HID's are more suitable.
Myself I run a IPF 900 XS's upgraded with 55 watt HID kits and both are spread beams, great for my usage which is a mix of highway and bush tracks.
Having the original fog lights does help with slow speed off road work though.

Check out the latest 4WD Action mag.
They have a full light comparo showing all the top HID/Halogen and LED light bars.

Light bars by far make the best light close up, not good at a distance though.
Best bet would to get a light bar paired with a couple of HID spotlights, but that gets very expensive!

Depends what your driving is, do you need the lights to light a close proximity really well, or a distance? If both, I'd suggest just a pair of HID lights, one spot one spread.
