Hi, Just brought a 2001 pardo gxl diesel and wanting to put a lift in it. Can anyone recommend a good place to get it done at a reasonable price? I'm located west of Brisbane. Thanks.

Re: good suspension installers in Brisbane
Hi Declan
Did a search in the 90 series suspension forum but couldn't find any recommendations for places in Brisbane, a lot of people seem to have the know how to do it themselves.
But I'm obviously as crap with searching as I am on the tools! ops:

Re: good suspension installers in Brisbane
Greg at city suspension (Springwood) is an ass (he will admit it) but what he doesnt know about suspension isnt worth knowing.
Andrew at Southside Suspension (Underwood) is young and brash but knows his stuff (Greg at City suspenison had him running his shop which he nearly bought by the way) he does the work himself and is quite particular. I dont deal with Andrew anymore but honestly you couldnt go wrong .....
When it comes to it though what your looking for (straight suspension swap)is nothing outside of the scope of any half decent mechanic . Replacing shocks and springs is something most mechanical workshops do day in day out.... at least they would be more qualified to work on a car than plenty of glorified tyre fitting wanna be mechanical shops or 'branded suspension stores' even aftermarket accessory fitting stores ...
If your located west though maybe (price them first) talk to Gary or Footo (owner but hard to catch) at Westside 4x4 Sumner Park an ARB distributor and also have a proper mechanical workshop seperate to their fitting store in Sumner Park as well.
Hope that helps

Re: good suspension installers in Brisbane
I'll also add an endorsement for Andrew at Southside Suspension.
I had him supply and install a 2" raised King and Bilstein package on my 120.
Very happy with him in terms of communication, price and workmanship.

Re: good suspension installers in Brisbane
try Ontrack 4wd Centre at Slacks Creek, they are at Moss St (Springwood). Or you can Visit Carrol Springs (EFS) they are at Industrial Ave Carrol Park.97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

I can't beleive that Greg is still down there  I must admit that LargeinAPrado is right on both counts. Greg is a bit of an ass but if i were down in brisbane still I wouldn't hesitate in taking my prado to him to get the suspension sorted. He has done about 4 cars for me over the years and couldn't fault their work at all.
my 2 cents
Matt
