Re: 2011 Prado - Pet Cat Vs paintwork advice

We had a cat in the neighbourhood who like sleeping on the bonnet of our 120. I tried the waxing but as it was slippery, it dug its claws in for some "traction." As the car was white it didn't suffer from water marks so I found that hosing down the bonnet before I went to be kept it off. I later found that the cat was detered by the carport being wet, ie wet cement. So hosed the concrete before bedtime!!!

Another trick I tried was to quietly sneak out and let my Mini Foxy out (she is a speedster!!!) She chased the cat down the street and we haven't seen it since. It must remember that we have a dog!!!

If you do end up with scratches from the feline, I found the Meguires ScratchX or the Re-po Paint Doctor to be good products. Especially on darker coloured cars.
