Jesus guys i used to hate computers with an absolute passion . now i find myself on this bloody thing several times a day , and whats worse is im learning new stuff . how am i supposed to be a beer swilling computer illitterate redneck when i can just click on stuff and it works . im turning into a computer geek. hang on i'll just get some more beer but first i ' ll put in that apostrophe .thats better . the apostrophe i mean . someone who really knows how to use these things could probably put up a survey . hey what are these letters and words and stuff just above what im typing now . don't laugh i only just noticed them .

My answer is no. I'm an application developer so nerby might be an automatic association. You want to talk nerdy then go and talk to a group of IT Support/IT Service desk guys. They never see the light of day.

Luv this site and regularly browse and pick up heaps of good info! BUT I,ve just read posts from different blokes that worry me! One bloke couldn't work out that his transfer case set at "N" meant he wasn't going anywhere and the other needed help to work out why his rear cup holder would'nt close properly! I'm not saying I'm an expert in any field, just your average "joe" really,maybe below average, BUT!! I feel the question is,"Are the geeks turning into 4wd drivers or are the 4wd drivers turning into geeks?" Clogging up this site with trivia could easily detract from its quality. Sorry to be a sourpuss! :roll: Cheers Grizz.

Grizz, you need to consider that this site is about Prados and that does not mean it's about 4wding. Some people have a Prado to go 4wding others it might just be to tow a boat or similar and maybe have never taken it off road. I must admit that when we bought ours back in 2006 it was really just as a big family car and there was no plans to go off road. Well for us the plans changed and now I hate bitumen

The fella who had an issue with the transfer case isn't a real drama in the scheme of things. Now he knows what it's about and he saved some cash instead of getting it to the service department. PradoPoint, for as long as I've been involved, is a communal resource and it helped him out so it worked. All good.

The one that has me shaking my head is the 150 Prado conversation mirror/sunnies holder :shock: Even 120 owners didnt know that it pulled down further to reveal the glasses holder, thats one of the first things i did when i climbed in for a look/test drive.

Pradopoint is without doubt one the best used forums i have come across with all the helpful hints for the technical side, ideas for where to travel and the general good nature and humour (find the pimped out cat topic :lol: ) I don't get off the site till about 1am each day as there are so many interesting topics and points of view from everyone. And it kicks facebook's a*#e :!: :P :P
