Does anyone else have a problem with the time stamp on posts. Either the time i see for when a post is posted is wrong or maybe I have a 8 hour delay in seeing posts.

yep there is a problem somewhere. I just posted the above at 9:29 am here in Perth and it shows 1:28 on the post time stamp. Does the time relate to GMT??Comment

With the new site i notice we now have a section for Friends, I have a couple of requests to become friends with other members, which is lovely as no one has "asked" me to be their friend since i left primary school.
Anyway i have been ignoring the requests for a while (some friend I am hey) while I try and work out what the point of this is, I really don't want to get involved if all it is, is a competetion to see who has the most friends. So is there any useful reason why i would want to have some "friends" given that i consider a number of members here to be my friends even without an official request.

Nah Andrew, stay clear of Face Ache. I set up an account at the start of the year so that I could see some photos a friend posts on there from a trip we did. I get bombarded with messages from freaks that read along the lines of "Hello Sexy, email me at [email protected] for personal pictures". Then there are the people who "collect" friends. They seem to think that because Face Ache titles people as friends that they truely are. I keep getting friend requests from people I hardly know, don't have anything to do with or don't even like. Stop being sarcastic old bastards. I have both of you on my friends because:
- I have met you in person. (The online version is IRL = In Real Life)
- I like your attitudes and other qualities
- I value your opinions
Facebook, Face Ache, MyFace, FaceSpace, Freakbook, and all the other social networks are just that, social networks via an online medium. Just like in person you can choose to limit who you become online friends with and who can see your posts there (as opoposed to this forum where everyone can see your posts).
Andrew, given I AM on your friends I will assume your Personal Assistant (the same one that looks after your smsing and phone services) must have added me :P

Just noticed i'm a "LURKER".
Is this because i would rather say nothing at all, than talk crap.
Are these ratings based on someones perception of contribution or actual content and proper advice.

Rhojef, the lurker status name is based on number of posts. It is not a view or label that someone has assoicated with you. My status is not what I would call myself nor do I really care for any status name in this forum. I'm guessing that the names are relativerly standard altough any mention of PradoPoint in the name is probably added. Piggy presumably has adjusted the count number that applies at each level.
