Aaron manually approves users weekly, and while they may be logged in now they have no permissions to post. Most will be cleared and banned without ever receiving access rights. Only a few make it through the net and the mods stamp them out fairly quickly.
Need not worry just yet...2014 D4D 150 GXL Automatic - CHARCOAL

Its a really good system Aaron has got going here with regards stopping the spammers. I frequent an American forum that has got to the point of being almost unusable due to spam. They refuse to go to manual approvals and just let members report spam and get mods to delete them. I reckon in the last couple of weeks 75% of all the posts I see are spam, where as on PP its maybe one a month I see posted.
Congrats guys.

not sure where this fits, but I have been getting frustrated in that I couldn`t find thread that I knew were there a while ago. I finally worked out what is the cause of my frustration.
Basically the default "threat Age cut off" is set to too short a time period , no wonder so many new threads are starting with the same topic. What is the chance of looking at that and increasing it to a more realistic number. May help with members starting new threads.stepped up the a 200 LC for towing,
but had a 2012 and 2010 150 Prado GXL auto diesel in Graphite with Bridgestone D697 A/T. Dobinson C59-300/325 and Bilsteins. Accessories : two baby seats. Sidewinder`s Dual Battery isolator and rear power outlet kit. Pirana Battery tray, Hayman Reese towbar with Toyota wiring kit and Brains`s guard.

Hey guys, been stopping by from time to time but have always found something really frustating to the point that I get bored with the forum... But I like you guys and wanna stay!!!!
Majority of the sub forums I visit have their threads sorted "by title" and not "last post time" to show me the most relevant threads. Also it's set to ascending and not descending. Sure I can change it.... but EVERYTIME! Ack! I've had a look in my profile to see if there is any settings but I just can make the changes stick. They always default.

Gday RanJ. Have you tried changing your settings by clicking on settings at the top of the page, Selecting General Settings under My Settings and changing the fields in the Thread Display Options. Under Thread Display mode, I have mine set to Liner - Oldest First. So I can read the thread from front to back. I have number of posts per page shown set to 40 to minimize the number of pages to go to (also minimizes the amount of ads your'e subjected to) Not sure if these settings will affect the last post appear in the section as first questioned but its worth a shot.2004 V6 Grande. Hi guys, I'm fairly new to the forum (been registered a while, but infrequent user) and seem to be having a problem with reading any and every section. When I look on the forum 'home page' it will say that there's a certain number of threads in a given topic (sometimes in the hundreds), but I am only able to see a couple. Is this a problem on my end or do others have the same issue?Brodie

What you need to do is click on settings on the top right of your screen, then click on "general settings" about 2/3 of the way down the page on the left side. Scroll down until you find "thread display options" and select "from the beginning" in the thread cut of age section. Finally go to the bottom of the page and save the changes. That should give you everything on PP.
Another tip when looking in various sections, if you click on views or replies at the top of the thread list it will list them by most views or replies, which is often handy for finding answers to commonly asked questions that have been covered extensively.
