Also, despite a couple of attempts, can't seem to delete messages so that I can send Piggy a message!!! Arrgh!!!
Keep getting told "You have reached your stored private message quota and cannot send any further messages until space has been created." despite trying to delete all stored messages!
You have to delete them from the Inbox and the Sent Items folder not the Imported folders.
At the bottom of your mailboxes there's a line that'll go red/yellow/green... If it's all yellow then you need to delete more msg's.

There's a checkbox on the right side of the mailbox heading. It'll say something like 'Messgaes: 47'. That's a 'check all' box for that folder. Otherwise there's checkboxes next to each day's summary. That's a 'check all' for that day.

If you think there might be something in there you want to hang on to then you can dump them out to csv prior to deleting. that's a pretty cool new feature so i don't lose mobile numbers etc!, select all export, select all delete. nice and clean.

In the old system the icon to start the thread changed from red to blue or vice versa, cant remember, once you had read all posts. The read first new post link also disappeared when all post read. I now have some blue envelopes and some and some red ones but they don't seem to relate to what i have read? Having trouble working out what threads i have already read and those i haven't.

Still have to sort out my PM's, keep getting loads of messages to say inbox is full.

        Cheers Andrew

You can go into your inbox and delete sent items or inbox items. Or if you want I can do it for you, but mine is total!! nothing will remain!! You have the option of selecting individuals to delete..

At the bottom of the 'forum home' page it explains the icons and colours for forums and at the bottom of the 'sub forum' page it explains the thread status.

Not sure if it is a bug but it bugs me... On posts where there are ads, there are scroll bars. The last line of the post is usually obscured by the horizontal scroll bar. Is there a way to get rid of the scroll bars?

Admin: NOTED. will see what we can do, up to Aaron on this one.

Dont know if this is just me, or if this is as a result of the forum upgrade.

On a couple of occasions have logged on for a small period of time, for a quick browse, then log off.
When log on again a bit later, all of the threads that were previously unread and now marked read.

Not a biggie, but just not sure whats going on.
BTW, I am using Google Chrome or IE, depending which computer I am using

                Any advice appreciated

Daz, web forums tend to work in a coupole of different ways. One is to highlight threads that you haven't read and maintains this state until you read it or acknowledge them as read and the other is to highlights threads that have changed since your last visit. This version highlights threads that have changed since your visit. The change period is usuallyt based on a session which may be half an hour since your last visit (but may be shorter). The previous forum highlighted threads that you hadn't read while the version before that showed threads that had changed. The LCOOL site shows threads that have changed since your last visit.

Still seems that we don't have our moderation group back as yet. There is a link that shows Site Leaders and it's a pretty short list. Any idea when we will have the usual group back in position?

This is from the FAQ section, this should get you started:

                        Albums and Pictures

                        How do I use albums?
As a member, you can create Albums of images that are linked to your public profile. Albums can be created by visiting the User Control Panel, and clicking on the 'Pictures & Albums' link, and then clicking on 'Add Album'.

Each album can have a title ('Joe's Holiday to Nepal'), a description ('A bunch of photos from my recent adventure') and can be of three different types: Public, Private or Profile.
                        • Public albums can be viewed by anyone
                        • Private albums can only be viewed by site staff (moderators, administrators) and your Friends and Contacts (info)
                        • Profile albums are viewable only by you. However, you can use the images to customize your public profile (info)
                        How do I upload pictures?
Once you've created an album you can upload images to it. Simply view the album and click on 'Upload Pictures'.
You'll have the option to give each picture a caption, and to set one image as the Album cover, which will be displayed on the public profile. To delete an album or edit the title, description or album type, click on 'Edit Album'. To delete an image, or to edit a caption or change the album cover, click on 'Edit Pictures'.
All members who have access to your album images can comment on them, in a similar way to Visitor Messages (more info). You can delete any image comments from your albums, and report inappropriate messages to moderators.
When you have uploaded a picture, you can place it in your posts by using the BB code text that is displayed below the image when you view it at full size.

Just tried it too, dosn't like to upload from a URL. I get an error too. No idea what's going on there.

                            To get around this:

Save the images to you desk top or a temp file and upload direct from your PC. I've uploaded all my images like this.
