If you don't want to "loose" the list then read them all before you refresh.

Schaffer - I'm not sure you are quite right. I can hit "What's New" button frequesntly and it remembers which are still unread in this session. There does seem to be a timeout, though, so if you go away for a cuppa and come back it may think its a new session and forget which posts you haven't yet read.

We are all still used to the old system that remembered unread posts seemingly forever. It was quite handy if you had gone away for a couple of weeks enjoying your Prado and there were too many posts to read in one session when you got back.

Overall though the new site seems to work much more efficiently. - Keep up the good work guys.

I guess I havn't written that well then. It's more about if you think there is an issue OR it's taking you time to read the threads you want then don't hit the "New Posts" button until you have read them all. Yes you can click on "New Posts" multiple times and it will show the same links BUT at some point when the current session times out it will only show threads that have changed since a later time than you where originally presented with.

Nick I understand what you're saying, however the problem I am encountering is that even if I leave the new posts page and am in the Topic directories (120 Accessories, 120 Electrical etc. ) I lose the ability to identify if I have read the post or not i.e. all posts are all of a sudden are displayed as read posts as if I have selected the "mark forums read" option. I am unsure whether this feature is reliant on cookies stored on my machine, or is stored against my login session history on the PP server? So Nick (& others), if you have been browsing posts following a day or so absence (eg after being away on an awesome trip this past weekend....) and you manage to read say 20% of your unread posts, then either return to your machine 2 minutes or 30 minutes or 2 hrs later, what indication do you have to identify what posts you have and have not read latest post on? as all I see is the "no unread posts"...

Not really a biggy but in the "My Rig" section, I used to be able to edit the title of the thread, e.g. I could have: "Rob's '96 Grande **March 2011 Airaid Installed** "
Won't let me edit the title now (says I can do it in the "Go Advanced" section but doesn't actually change it), so hence can't update the title to include the latest news

If this can't be fixed, is it possible for a mod/admin to remove the "update" in my title?

Not being able to edit the title is also a problem in the "For Sale" section where "Sold" now no longer appears when the title is changed to notify a sold item.

The Technical Links & Members Rigs sticky isn't working. If I click on a link it opens a new, but blank, window.

This pretty much sums up the result we are hoping for.

CraigM & Co have explained the issue perfectly in their posts. I checked today, logged on for 5 mins, and when I exited it seems to mark all threads as read
Im not using the "whats New" button at all. I just like to surf through the sections, but looking for unread posts.

Once again, well done Mods for a pretty good transition to the new look forum.

Whenever I try to add some info to my sig (staying within the 500 characters limit), it rejects me and also tells me I am using more than 5 lines of text ???? WTF ??

Have already contacted PradOz regarding torches. Thanks for the messages everyone. Dropped and broke my computer, then moved house (twice), working shiftwork, away to Cairns for conference then a really poor internet signal in Mareeba - that is why I have been away from PP. Missed it sorely too!! Hopefully most is solved now. Looking forward to more time off soon and lots of camping and travel.

The whats new and the new posts tabs aren't working today! is it just me or is anyone else having issues. Even logged out and tried the "todays posts" tab but no luck.
