just about to blow my fuse - but i have cooled down now
i had just joined up a few weeks ago i was the oceanrunner - now im the oceanrunner1 with a new e-mail account , as the system would not send me a new password.
is everyone else experencing the same?

I'm in the same boat
Contacted admin but they couldn't find my old account so suggested I re-register.
Duno what happened cause searching the member list shows my old username as being there.

I'll just have to start again on the post count - no biggy, at least I'm here

The random question got me on the password update, i thought it meant the usual password hint that we use, not a question that we have to answer and yes Prado in Spanish means Meadow.

I had a problem as well. My issue was I was trying to get a new password from a different email address to the one I registered originally from and ended up with a new user ID. I PM'd piggy from the new ID nearly a week ago to chase it up but to date he hasn't even read the message. When I got back to work I requested the new password from the original email address. All is good now.

In the new system, if you edit your Settings (Top Right) and go to General Settings in the middle of the left frame, you will notice the "number of posts to show" is set for forum default, change this to as many as you want, I changed mine to Show All and you'll find the lost posts.
As for the user names, the only thing I can think of is the email address under the old system was incorrect...

When creating a new post, you can Go Advanced and there is an option there for Preview Post as well as many other features, it is worth looking deeper than the Quick Reply option...

Up the top of the page, click on quick links then subscribed threads (which is any you have posted in) Still only brings up threads since the upgrade, I guess the powers are still trying to sort that out.

I am still in 2 minds about the upgrade, yes it has more features, whether more features is better? not so sure. Anyway this is what we have so we'll make the best of it.

I am also a member of the newhilux forum, they run with the same system as the old PP, I have found myself spending more time there now due to the fact that i understand it, also still researching for an upgrade for my old Lux.

I had a major problem...not being able to get past the Rim size or Spanish question. Turned out, I deleted all the old cookies off the computer and everything went fine from there.

Although I appreciate what Aaron is doing for us, I reckon the move to the new layout is premature. There're a ton of bugs out there, that I reckon nobody can single handedly fix in the short term.

The advertising on the new layout is annoying too. From memory there was only a banner up top, but now there's one up top and one on the first and last post of every page (which blocks images in posts).

If this means that we don't have to pay for the forum, and it means that the forum can add extra features, etc., happy to live with it. Haven't you ever read a magazine - they are mostly 2/3 ads!

MUST ADMIT, however, that the new ads feature in the top right hand corner of the most recent post is most annoying and also covers (prevents) you from seeing any of the drop-down tools that sit directly above this section of the screen!
