Thanks mate. I've tried them and every other tyre dealer in the book, with no luck. I'm after five AT's, but If someone just need two of them, Tyrepower Campbelltown had two in stock late last week ( 265/65/17 ) I do have a standing order with Tempe Tyres for them, but they also have no idea when they will be available in OZ.

I had a similar issue to you, in that I needed 3 new BFG's for a trip in July, after ringing around all the tyre places in the phone book, it became pretty obvious that there were none in the country. The best I got was sometime in May the next shipment was supposed to arrive, however from what I heard all tyres in that shipment were spoken for already. However, Jax told me they have priority on the next shipment, so there's a good chance they will have some that aren't already on backorder. After that the next shipment would be a few months away.
In the end I decided to order the tyres from the US. I ordered 3 BFG AT 265/65/17 from http://www.tirerack.com at US$224 each. With shipping it came to AU$1024. It took about 2 1/2 weeks from money being transferred to the tyres arriving (from east-coast US), but that included a week sorting out paperwork (receipts, etc) for Customs here. I didn't have to pay any extra fees or GST.
Basically the price, inlcuding shipping, was pretty much the same as buying the 3 tyres here (obviously not including fitting), and most importantly I actually have the tyres! It may be even more cost-effective to ship more tyres over, although you may have to pay GST then.

Mate ! I had been waiting for 5 tyres [A/T,s ] since Jan ,my tyre guy says that OZ only gets 2% of the BFG tyre production so I,m tipping that they don,t care a great deal!! I gave up & went B/stone A/T s. That was 7000 kays ago .No road noise & real good on the tracks along the Murray .Real happy ! M.J.
