Remove Cigarette Smell

Just got a secondhand Dual Cab Rodeo (I know it's not a Prado but it was a bargain) for the stepson as his first 4x4. Is in excellant condition but the previous owner was a smoker and the interior (which is vinyl) reeks.
Any tips on getting rid of the smell?

if it was carpet a heap of febreeze and a damprid over a week.

Umm you could try a leather cleaner which is safe for vinyl also, plus clean the AC filter ............... and an air freshener pine tree

We had a company car the same. We had it quoted to be professionally cleaned and fully deodorised, was about $300. (I think).
But start with above, can't hurt and will be loads cheaper..

I used to also leave a small open container of coffee beans in the car, the sun gets to them and overpowers all other smells.

I remember being told at some stage in my youth that bi-carb soda absorbs odours from a fridge. Maybe try stashing some in a few containers??? I like the coffee beans idea though. Mmmmm

Thanks for the suggestions.
What I did was grab a couple of plastic trays about the size of a baking dish and place a small hand towel in each one.
I then filled them up with white vinegar until the towels were covered and left them in the car for 48 hours.
The idea being that the vinegar draws the smell into the towels.
It seems to have worked quite well.
I got the idea from a mate who left bait in has 80 series wagon for 5 days........
