AJ120: The forum is supposed to be an archive. It's not supposed to be a place where only current content is kept. The post deletions are an issue but there isn't anything that can be done about it.

We may trial a google search that may be more effective than the vBulletin one.

I like the idea of a bargain buy's section and agree that there are way too many stickies in the general board. Some of these need to be rolled into the rules section.

One main change I would like to implement is a dedicated 'How To' section where great threads are kept and categorised. We may even begin to use the articles feature of vBulletin to achieve this.

There are lots of things in the pipeline. I've got exams the week after next and after that some more modifications will take place.

    Cheers,
    Aaron

Good luck with the exams Aaron! Oh, should that go in another thread?

I have found that the search feature is next to useless with google being much better and the links in many of the technical links section are either outdated or wrong- eg UHF radio instal links to a kill switch thread!

Perhaps including a link to the thread in question, we may be able to aid in correcting it - if possible. But if you don't tell us which one - how can we fix it?

I suspect 80% of my posts are about to disappear.

Matt, get rid of this one: http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...s-2007-GXL-D4D because it is repeated here: http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...D4D-Grande-MLC

              Technical Links & Members Rigs

              Last Updated: 14/01/2009

              Hi All,

This is a technical master links thread for all the bits/pieces and ideas that members posted somewhere else on the PradoPoint forum.

If you have written a post about how-to, ideas for setup, what you have done to the car (all the little things as well), just post a link to your post into this thread and this post will be updated with the link. Any ideas/comments/corrections feel free to post to this tread as well...

              which links to this:

              http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...828#post280828

That's one example that I've come across.

It now seems that all or most of the links on this page are broken:

                http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...p-Members-Rigs

They seem to link to nothing or the kill switch thread- are you guys trying to get me to fit one???

That was one of my favourite pages to refer to given my lack of success using the search function!
                Cheers, Brad

the links are identical to what they were before, perhaps the issue would relate more to the fact that the new forum renamed the pages, and that the links are all based on the older hyperlinks.

As we moderators are volunteers, and the effort and time that requires being put into correcting such an issue, is just simply over and above what we are able to achieve in any short period of time. When some time becomes available, perhaps someone will address the issue.

Would you like to start a new one with the correct links and let us know when it is complete?

I'm sorry but I don't have the time either, or the technical expertise. I believe that Stan (lc120_man) started that page- maybe he knows how to fix it!
