Can anyone recommend a good 4wd course in Perth or preferabley down south, that gives an insight to sand / beach driving

I would recommend Eureka 4WD Training:

They run various courses from Introduction to 2 day courses. I used them for a work sponsored 'Team building' course and found them excellent. Their courses are run NOR though.

Have you thought about checking out the Toyota Land Cruiser Car Club? I just joined the Sydney branch but im 99% sure they have a Perth branch. All membership applications go through a 4wd course (included in the sign up fee) with additional courses provided free of charge.My Rig: 150 GXL D4D, Tough Dog adjustable suspension with 60mm lift, Polyair bags, ARB Winch Bar, Warn Winch with Dynamica Rope, Outback Ideas recovery points, GME UHF, HID Low/High Beam, Lightforce Genesis HID Spots, Dual Battery Setup with rear power outlets, ARB air compressor in engine bay, ~30L Watertank mounted behind fueltank.
