I am using Philips H11 globes, just plug straight in and produce much more light.

            Yowie.

Cool thanks for that Yowie... I have been searching for through the threads, to find a definative answer.
I was considering doing a HID conversation, but after all the confusion about the legality and I will go the philips globes first.
Probably not for a couple of weeks. Once I do it I will update.
              Cheers

the Phillips Globe is an replacement h4 globe which states it is a plus 50% brighter light, the light is certainly whiter and cleaner, the globe itself looks blue to look at in the headlamp, it throws a more pronounced light across a better spread but is it 50% better, i doubt it. Remembering these are $40 globes i had fitted so are they worth $40, absolutely.

                  Thanks Hutch,
I think I have saved some serious$$ on the HID conversersion KIT. More to spend on the spoties.

                    whited4d,

I don't do lot of night driving these days, and seeing I have spent a fair bit on extras, I was not interested in HID lights. I am happy with the light from the H11 globes.

                    Yowie.

                      Hey Yowie

Do you mean, HID spoties or the conversation of the head lights. Apart from the globes the next thing is spoties.
What I am planning to do next is get a pair of them.

Old thread but... can you buy the Phillips bulbs locally or is eBay the only place at a reasonable price.

                        Cheers, Leon

I buy my Philips X-treme vision globes from Autobarn, I get about 12-18 months out of them.
