Hmph!.... I saw that red F250 with the pansy airbrushing... What poor excuses of pathetic fools would vote for such a cockamamie contraption - with clearly superior competition in plain sight? Did it have pink Maxtrax??? Did it????? I rest my case.........
I have to admit I had as much fun in the carpark, checking out people's roofracks and other attached goodies as I did in the actual show. $15.00 entry is a pretty standard entry fee for most things, so I don't mind paying it for organised events such as this. I think they had the right idea, though, I'd have killed to be able to do a lap around that central arena in one of those rigs - maybe next time!! It would be better with a larger array of vendors willing to dispense advice and showcase products. Stuff for all the family too. The R/C chopper section had the kids in awe, so definitely keep that. Few Dad's eyed them off as well by the look of it too. Be good to see the likes of Ranger Camping and BCF there with a decent lot of products on display, and a few meaty show specials to get people returning year after year. Make a section for the ladies - filled with sheila gear - that will keep them interested (if 4WD's make them yawn) while the rest of the family are off looking at mud tyres etc. But yeah, it's got real potential and I'd certainly check it out next year. Stuff like this takes very dedicated organizing and a lot of work so kudos to the organisers. Maybe next year we can make a PP display..... and show that pansy F250 what for.......
