You'll have to excuse my ignorance on this one but what are drag chains used for in vehicle recovery? I've never seen them used, demonstrated or even discussed.

Drag chain is used to drag fallen trees off the road or to drag logs to use as fire wood.
Chain could be used for towing in an emergency.Winston.

Also if you are using a High Lift Jack as a winch, drag chain can be used in hooking that up as well.
