Where abouts do you store your winch hook on a aftermarket bar with synthetic rope? I have a Tigerz11 12000lb in an ARB winch bar and have tried two options:
1) Have about 18" of rope exposed and have it hooked to the recovery point, but there are several edges of the bar touching the rope that could cause issues over time.
2) hooked to the high lift entry point which eliminates any of the rubbing issues but concerns me that it's not actually hooked to anything. It's only the tension holding it in place.
I know I could get a sleeve to protect the exposed rope but even then I thing the tension on the rope against the bar edges could cause some damage.
What do you do?
