G'day Everyone,

I am a returning member (formerly joined in 2009, but previous membership must have been terminated because I didn't login for over 12 months). I had a Kakadu for 3 years and traded it 12 months ago on a New car for the wife. I had done a lot of Mods to the Kakadu, so whomever ended up buying it (somewhere on Sunshine Coast, Nambour I was told), got a great rig.

Anyway, Prado withdrawal symptoms have taken their toll and I am planning to buy a D4D Altitude when they are next released. The Altitude looks like great value and will allow me to do some mods I couldn't on the Kakadu, like suspension and tyres. Wasn't a fan of the Timber interior and only ever used the reverse camera (the other 3 are pretty useless, particularly the front one when BullBar installed). KDSS was pretty cool, but I would prefer a proper lift and suspension upgrade. Also the 18 inch rims have limitations for tyre choice and real off road ability.

Did the Home (Coolum) - Emerald - Longreach - Mt Isa - Barkly Homestead - Alice Springs - Coober Pedy - Broken Hill - Bourke - Dalby - Home trip twice in the Kakadu in 2010 and 2011 and can't wait to do it again...

If the wife allows it, I will get the Altitude by mid 2013, and if not then definitely 2014. In the meantime, I will drool over the magnificent examples of great rigs on this site......
