Hello,

I recently bought a white 2004 120 GXL V6 5sp auto. I'm very happy to have found a low km (102,000km) example in white, with the little additions I wanted being; the toyota roobar, roof racks and cargo mat.

This site has already helped a heap with my presale research and will continue to do so as I build the prado up to be a beach-going fishing truck and the Mrs' shopping trolley.

Near future will see 70 profile tyres, UHF and compressor. Don't plan on doing too much to it in the long term, but enough to get me in and out of WA's awesome fishing spots.

I'm new to 4x4s and hope to learn plenty off here whilst enjoying the prado.

Hi all,

my first post on here, been viewing for quite a while now though..!!
great information from some very smart people

had my GX 150 series prado for about 2 months now, was bought with 45,000kms on the clock from pickles auctions in balcatta, (Perth).
was an ex surveyers car so there is a little red dirt underneith, but the insides are immaculate!!

so far ive added
- dual battery system, with override start (ARB tray, Redarc isolator, century deep cycle battery and voltage boosting diode)
- from recovery points
- Uniden remote head UHF
- Factory toyota bull bar
- Fuelmaster extra fuel filter
- Rallye 4000 spotties
- power outlets in rear from 2nd battery
- factory GXL rims

hopefully many more items to come over the next few months as the dollars allow!!

Sounds like you have the best of both worlds. There is plenty of info on here to assist you with your buildup if required once you get your Prado. Welcome and hope you enjoy your Prado.

My name's Chris and have just bought a new 2013 GXL diesel in white. Main use is a daily driver and tug for our 17'6 tandem caravan.
So far only added tinting,towbar,brake controller, floor mats, cargo mat and dash mat.
My wish list includes ARB Safari bar,dual battery and uhf. Modest list but that'l do for now.

My name's Drew, long time lurker first time poster...

Such a diverse range of info on this site, very helpful and inspiring, so thanks all. I'm now in the market for new wheels and thanks to reading PP for the past while, I think I've now got a Prado at top of the list over a 200 or new model Rangie Sport. The idea's to buy a truck I can build up and keep as a touring rig for longer than I usually hold on to my cars and not to mention a safe car for when kids, eventually, come along.

Anyway, doing the test drives on all over the next few weeks, so will report back.
