Welcome Mal, I presume you have read about the oil pick up blockages ?? Sounds like its and ex mining vehicle with the internal roll bar ?? so its probably spent some time idling ?? Either way maybe first thing to do would be to check the oil pick up for any blockages.....Yes heaps of helpful information on this site. More knowledge then Toyota will ever know....Cheers Steve

I have been reading these forums for quite a while and just registered. We (my Wife & I) are picking up our new 2014 Prado GXL (Glacier White) this Saturday. We spent about three weekends test driving different vehicles and settled on the Prado. The Toyota 1% finance sealed the deal.

Hello, I am new to this forum with a 1 week old 2014 Prado Kakadu. Love the Prado and am getting used to all the kit in it.
You have a great forum and I enjoyed reading it while making my decision.
I wish I had the skill and confidence to attempt all the things you guys do to your Prados.
I'm amazed that Toyota put standard Halogen globes in for high beam. They are yellow in colour and when you have them on you get this nice blend of yellow and white from the LED low beams. I have it booked it Wed to update to Philips blue vision ultra globes which should match better.
Model: 150 Kakadu 3.0D
Year: 2014
Colour: Crystal Pearl
Accessories: Hayman Reese tow bar, aero roof bars, tinting, rubber mats and cargo liner

Hi, newbies from Adelaide, my daughter and son inlaw have just purchased a Prado from a local Toyota Dealership.
Model 120 GXL Diesel Auto
Year 2005
Colour White
Acc. Alloy Bullbar, Towbar.
After my daughter and son inlaw were looking to buy a LC they finally decided to buy a Prado ( thank God )
I am a retired mechanic and am keen to search this forum to find any bit and pieces we need to check, sort or modify.
I am the owner of a Pajero 2005 Diesel Platinum Series but don't hold that against me lol.
My kids and I are looking forward to learning lots about these Fantastic vehicles.

Greetings from Geelong
Hi all. Newbie here from Geelong Vic. Just purchased a new MDC CT (yet to pickup) and am itching to get back into camping again but would love to get into 4WDing. I like to idea of the Prado, it would keep the missus happy as it would be the family vehicle everyday.
Model: Camry (yes a Camry, refer to wishlist)
Year: 2008
Colour: White
Accessories: Anderson connection with Redarc voltage monitor. Waeco CFX 50, Garmin GPSMAP62s, MDC Offroad Deluxe V4 CT with 12v batt system.
Wishlist: A 2009 120 Prado (a good place to start, hehe), winch, bullbar, roofrack, UHF, compressor, tyre deflators pretty much all the basics to get offroad (inc a fourby).
Just got the ct so the Prado or potentially other 4WD (I'm not biased but am impressed by the Prado) will have to come later unfortunately. The wife and two girls also have a love for camping and the outdoors and are all eager to get back out there. Will be limited to caravan parks and easy access campsites, but you have to start somewhere, right. Thought I would join up here and wade through the discussions and see what I can learn.

Camry? At least it's a Toyota. Bought one (V6 rocket) for my wife to keep her out of my Prado. She gave it to one of our sons who is in university. So I bought her a Hyundai.Dave

Bugger Bali, get out and see Australia before we sell it all to China.
