Hello from Spain,
After nearly a couple of years lurking and learning I thought it was time to say hello to everybody down under.
My name is Javier, I live in Madrid, and I am the proud owner of a 2003 Prado 120. The specs here are a bit different. Mine is the KDJ120 VX auto 3.0 diesel 163hp with no rear air suspension. It has 95.000km on the clock and in 12 years it has given me nothing but joy and happiness.
Well, the children are growing up and I have more time for myself. So I thought I would make it off road worthy and enjoy it with my mates. The build up is still VERY BASIC but it will hopefully start looking like a proper 4x4 very soon. For that I might need your expert advice...
Here it is:
General Grabber AT 265/65 R17
3mm aluminium Hoffman spacers
8mm aluminium skid/bash plate
4x 10,000lb rated recovery point
NTDD power chip. Now 196hp
Rhino Rack bars
TTI881 cb radio
Front suspension spacer lift. Now front 770mm and rear 780mm
2x fire extinguishers
Viair 400p
TREDs 1100
2x spare tires
Hand made awning
Tinted windows
Trasharoo bag
Jerry cans and water can
Kinetic ropes an shackels
Diff breathers
...
...
Earlier this year I took a trip to Morocco and needless to say I can not wait to go back. I realized that I need a snorkel and a new suspension. So I got a Safari snorkel and I am getting a complete OME 2" suspension very soon. Not quite sure wich one. Will ask you very soon
Well, that's enough from me. Just new at this but if I can help with anything else I will be only too happy to do so.
I have had the pleasure to visit Australia many times, Perth, Brisbane, Sidney and I love it.
Cheers,
Javier
