It is about time you PPers from north of the Berrimah line got your collective butts together and organised an outing or two I reckon. :lol: :lol: There is enough of you there now to get something together and you have a heck of a lot of nature to play in. :twisted: :twisted:

I finally feel like I can contribute to this great forum. Picked up my 2004 Petrol Grande last week. Now looking at all the toys I can add to it. Got a few young rug-rats filling up the back seats, so can't go too crazy just yet, but I just wanted to say hello to all the peeps and I can't wait to get out there and start enjoying the off roads...

Now - to start looking at 4wd training courses..

Well I guess that it's about time that I introduced myself, I've been making the occasional post here for a few months now, picked up heaps on useful info from everyone on here though.

Picked up my new Prado end of September this year, my first 4WD, having upgraded from a Subaru Liberty that couldn't go where I wanted it to go.

Year: 2008
Model: GX D4D Auto with Option Pack 2.
Colour: White

Accessories: ARB Deluxe Winch Bar, Milford Cargo Barrier and GME TX3420 UHF.

Wishlist: Lightforce Genesis driving lights, window tint, BFG AT's, Snorkel, Winch, suspension upgrade, dual battery...I could just keep going!



I've signed up for the 09 GTG, which should be a great opportunity to see the centre of OZ and meet up with you all.

We've owned our bus for a year done some trips on and off the black stuff. She's fitted wtih an aloy bulbar and we tow a one & half ton van. Before the Prado I drove an astra of all things. Wow what a change. I would never go back from the 4wd.

The liberty wasn't a bad little car on the black stuff. As for off-road, well, lets just say that I'm glad they didn't look underneath it when I did the trade-in! :shock:

Hi There

I've been lurking around on this site for a while now and made a few posts, so I thought it was about time to do the courteous polite thing and introduce myself.

Name: Snappa
Ride: 2006 1kzte with a few minor accessories.
Had my truck since June and its the best vehicle I've ever owned (I've had Holdens, Nissans, Fords - you name it)
Really keen to kit it out to take the family (Wife, 4 yr old girl (whos going on 12) and two 16 month old twin boys) out camping and to explore the great outdoors of Godzone aka New Zealand - current home of the Rugby League World Cup - how is Ricky Stewart by the way?
The insights and things I've learnt from this site about Prados and offroading in general are endless - a big thanks to all of you for sharing your knowledge and passion for 4 wheel driving with the rest of us not so knowledgeable folk.

So we have another Kiwi to the forum. Welcome Snappa, and glad you stopped your lurkin and joined up. Now is the time to tell the rest of the world (mainly us 2nd placed RL people) about the beaut country you 4Wdrive around in. Lots of photos would be great.

The latest innovation in my truck is an 8mm hole in my aircon condensor courtesy of a wayward drill bit when installing airhorns. Talk about learning the hard way............
