Welcome hatchynt...there are a few of you up there now.
Love Darwin but the heat drove me nuts.
Good 4 wheel drive trips thats for sure.

Watch out for that dreaded list...it will sneak up on you for sure :lol:

G'day everyone, I'm a new member & first time poster to PP. I stumbled across the site a few weeks ago & read through many posts to help make the decision on my recent purchase: a white 2003 (120 series) 3.0 TD manual GX. The purchase was a bit of a leap of faith as the vehicle had 236000 kms on the clock (!). However, much of that mileage was clocked up by the previous owner who had toured Australia in it over the last 18 months.

The fact that it drove as tight as a drum and the obvious faith shown in the series by many owners and experts on sites like this one (& a bit of shrewd bargaining over price!) meant I put my money down & I'm now a proud Prado owner

I'm in the process of searching the forum for advice on a range of topics but will no doubt post a few questions very soon!

Looking forward to contributing to a great forum.

Don't forget to go up to your user profile and add in which city/state you are in. It often helps folks to give you suggestions about places to get things if they know your general location.

Hi Everyone,

Previously a Hilux owner, just upgraded to new Prado a few months ago. Still mourning the loss of my ute but wife and kids much happier and as a result I get to do less driving (which is great). Loving the vehicle after a few mods........especially the suspension. Great site with heaps of usefull stuff and some very enthusiastic people!

I went shopping today ... fun shopping. Purchased half a camper trailer (thanks Leachy_9) and a new (to me) Prado ... I pick it up on Monday so I will post photos then.

Wishlist: I haven't even got it yet but it will NEED the following: Winch, 3" Exhaust, decent tyres, suspension upgrade

Let the spending begin ... I mean continue. The camper will be getting a few mods as well (namely a tent top) and a few other little bits and pieces.
