    Welcome to the forum Terry. How long have you had the RV6 for? Does that bar support a winch?

            Land Cruiser (we don't call 'em Prado's - just 'Land Cruiser' :lol: )
            The euro model has a rear under-slung spare instead of the 2nd fuel tank, so only 87 litres on-board and bum ground clearance due to the spare being underneath - mom's taxi's have no problem - I do

            Hi Gary

            Just got back from touring France and Corsica. Very surprised to see so many 120 Prados (Land Cruisers) on the roads, all with the D4D diesel. Most of them were identical to mine ie: had the spare wheel on the back door so must have the dual tanks. Also some 2 door SWBs. I did some touring in Zim about 7 years ago. Got 2 brothers living in Bulawayo still. Spent last weekend on Stockton beach. First time on sand. Can't wait to camp there soon.
            [SIZE=1]Cheers Jim.

                  Greetings everyone,

                  Brand new owner of a second-hand Prado here, just signed the papers on a 2006 GXL V6 yesterday (with a great deal of assistance from the kind folks browsing the 'buying a Prado' forum )

                  It's absolutely stock-as-a-rock... for now. After just a couple of hours browsing this forum I've already got a shopping list as long as my arm, and I won't even pick up the car for another week or two!

                  I'm a first time 4WD owner so just looking into a training course at the moment, will be taking the Prado out on its first trip after Christmas with a couple of members of my family (100 series Landcruiser and 90 series Prado owners respectively - there's no way they were allowing me to buy anything other than a Toyota!)

                  Looking forward to discussing all things Prado!

                  Jo

                    Greetings everyone, been here for a few months, but best I introduce myself.
                    I am the proud owner of a SWB 4.0 V6 prado in maroon. I live in Dubai, and sand is our main offroad terrain. Already lifted the prado with a 2" OME lift, bash plate, rear toyota pintle hook, and a VHF and GPS hardwired. I am also an owner of a Nissan Y60, but wanted a SWB and something for work, and the Prado is great around town, and very easy to drive offroad due to the ample power from the V6.

                      Hi everyone. Pick up my new 150 series GXL D4D Manual in Blue Storm next week. This is my first Prado but not my first Toyota 4x4.

                      This is my old Hilux in action - note the 90 series rims

                      Just sold this to the brother in law and have started a buidup on the new one

                      Here it is on Pinnibar last weekend.

                      Still to come is a full aluminium gullwing canopy fitout for touring. But it already has some Prado bits - fitted Prado crown wheel and pinions to bring the gearing back to standard with the 32" tyres fitted (hiluxes come with only 29" tyres !!) and the old Prado rims too. As Rodw said earlier Prado front disc brakes are also on the upgrade list.

                      The prado will be stock for a while (the Mrs car) but i'm sure over the coming years it will receive one or two (or fifty :lol: ) modifications.
