    • Well, I thought it was aboit time I introduced myself, considering i've been making a few posts and stuff!

MUMSRIG is my wife's baby. we purchased an 04 Turbo diesel auto GXL after about 3 or so months of searching.

These things are'nt the easiest to come by in TD Auto with low k's. :? :?

No real mods yet (compared to some of my other 4x4's), just a set of Roo Lights on the factory alloy bar, tow bar, obligatory h/light protectors, Pioneer in dash double din DVD, reverse camera mounted at tow hitch, roof monitor where interior light once was (for the boy), GME 3200 UHF with 9db, 4.5db and 6db aerials plus my home made draw set in the back. Otherwise she's pretty darn standard.

I'm another WA boy, but this time from Perth.....

              • G`day all , I picked up a 97 RV V6 auto with about 200,000 k`s on it about 10 months ago . It was in reasonable nick & has served me well so far . I feel its a bit old to go spending a fortune on it so I`ve tried to keep my mods within a budget . Nearly fell over backwards when ARB qouted me $1,900 for a bull bar so I went & made my own ( well its more a driving light mount ) fitted the Hellas I had in the shed & just put a set of wheels with 275/65/16 Wrangler silent armour tyers , Ive also had an LPG conversion . It came with a nice alloy roof rack & bag & alloy side steps . I`ve done a few trips up the Vic high country & will do a lot more trips up there . It also comes in handy for towing the Jayco campervan around.
I live in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne .
I`m also new to computers so I`ve enjoyed having a read of these forums . I`d upload a pic of my rig if I could work out how to do it .
                cheers Bruce ...

                • G'day Bruce and welcome along.

As for your pics ... go to photobucket.com and create an account. It's really easy to upload some pics from your computer to some storage space on the internet (you don't even have to know where).

Photobucket lets you click on a space for "direct link" to your stored pic. You then copy this text between [img] tags in a pradopoint post and we'll be able to see your pics.

I know this is a bit of a rough and ready explanation but if you have any dramas yell out and any number of pradopointers will be happy to walk you through it - it's just that kinda place.

                  Cheers
                  Chippy

                  • Hi all,

Finally got around to posting!! This is a fantastic website and has contributed to the minister for war and finance finally letting me get some goodies for the Prado.

I have an 07 D4D GXL in White and am looking to get all the standard things you others already have. I am so envious!

This is my first fourby ops: and it was after several months of looking and reading reviews and websites (Pradopoint was the best!) and test drives, I finally settled on the new D4D Prado. Wanted to get a VX for the traction control but the budget only allowed for a GXL. After last month's 4WD Monthly DVD though, I finally convinced the Minister to let me get ARB Air Lockers!

Anyway, thanks for an awesome website and I might see you all out on the track.

Thanks for the welcome Bunsen. I am fairly new to the 4WD scene but will have to try to get out with the SE Qld pradopoint crowd when I can organise a day off. Gotta love shift work...
