prado VX 2002 dash removal

Hi all, have a 02 diesel TX prado which has done 340,000 km and going well. Not a spanner to it yet. However the dash around the radio and central vents is a bit loose and I would like to remove it to see what is causing it to shake. Has anyone done this or know what to do. I appears to be snapped in as I cant find a screw anywhere and being so loose appears to come of separately to the main dash. The section i am talking about is the wood coloured plastic.

Hi Huey and welcome to PP

The radio surround is clipped in, I find if you "gently" pull from the bottom and then the sides, it will come out. It is tight but as long as you have even tension on both sides it come.
If you do a search on dash rattles in the 90 series section you will see dash issues are well covered as the dash rattle is a no cost mandatory option
