I'm so jealous. I wanted to do some truck or train horns so badly but just couldn't justify it. Maybe I can justify it now. Would love to hear them.

Needed that this morning. There was roadworks on the way to work and the speed limit was 25km/h. I was doing 20km/h and the idiot lollypop man with the slow/stop sign held out the slow side of the sign and wanted to step out from the side of the road into my path because he thought that I was going much faster. I wanted to run him over but blood stains on the bumper is a bit hard to get out and it would have been a mess under the car without any bash plates on at the moment. No doubt, I'll be seeing him again tomorrow.

I often wonder if the sign they hold out is a statement about their intellect?

Had a mate who hooked up a portable air horn on his push bike. Every time some idiot went to do something stupid in front of him or cut him off he let loose with it. Boy did it make drivers react.

lol, I see those from time to time as well.

Went through the same road again today and I can now see why he thought I was going much faster than 25km/h. Yesterday I was the first car in line. Today, I was behind a string of cars and they were doing 10km/h !!! So my 20km/h yesterday looked too fast to him.

                      • Mind you when working on the road or inside of a traffic controlled area, 25 km/h can seem quick when cars are zooming by.
Remember school zones are 25 limited and its pure F#ucking madness around them at pick up time.

However I think these traffic controller type people must be trained at the same organisation as Over Dimensional escort pilots.

I remember once driving a truck and I could see an oversize load coming towards me, I was speaking to the driver on the UHF who told me to not worry about moving over as there was plenty of room.

Next minute almost had a head on with two of his spastic escort pilots who decided to force me off the road. They would have heard everything that was said too.

The power goes straight to their heads, they think they're gods.

                          Bloody ridiculous.

                          • ref, After market Horns- some time back there was a thread which mentioned installing A/M horns so that they operated off the original horn button but by wiring in a relay they would operate only when you wanted them.
This allowed you to tap the horn button and only the original would operate but if you were "fairdinkum" then OMG!!
Can anyone explain the wiring necessary to achieve this outcome?
I have tried searching for this thread but I think it is hidden in another post.
