Thread views

right I am sure there is a simple explanation and a thread somewhere about it already, but stuffed if I have been able to work it out or find the thread.

When I view various sections of the forum the thread views are sorted by Title / Thread starter and I have to change it to view the last posts by clicking last post by.

The general forum is fine when I view it, but others arent. Anyone know how to change this behaviour as its only just happened and is driving me insane?

I've tried Settings - General Settings - Thread Display Mode and that didnt help

thanks Shan I have that set to show all threads. i can see them all, they are just all muddled up so the newest isnt on the top. And its not all sections on the forum just some

Go to the sub forum you wish to browse. Scroll to the bottom then modify the options to:
Show threads from... "Beginning"
Sort threads by: "Last post time"
Order threads in "Descending order"

I realise this issue is being raised in several threads but while you can make the changes as amts posted but it does not save the change.
You have to make the thread display change every time you chose a 90 or 120 series subforum.

Perhaps its elitism rearing its ugly head .... if you don't own a 150 your not important

or is it that 150 owners can't change thread order :P

I reckon you may be on to something there Lee. No one seems to be doing anything about it that I know of. Definitely makes browsing PP less enjoyable and for me now less frequent.

Ahh damn it Lee, so you are right booooooo

I wonder why it has changed? all was right up until I logged in in the last few days after being away for 2 weeks. It is very annoying.

I find the "what's new" tab is good most of the time but if your like me and log on, read a couple of posts and then have get a phone call or get distracted, find I've been logged out due to inactivity, then the system assumes I have seen all the new posts .... buggar lol

Ahh well life's pretty good when my major worry in life is the thread order display in PP

Surely one of the admins can change the default view in theses sub forums?

To be honest its really pee'ing me off having to change the view everytime I want to see whats going on.
