  • Sitting at home

Here I am sitting at home watching the footy and dreaming of being out there some where in the bush sitting around a nice camp fire with a beer having a joke.

Alas I can't seem to find a free weekend in the coming months, these damn little things I have called kids seem to be taking up every weekend with sports activities.

ho hum I'll just have to live my dreams through all you guys telling your travel stories for a while.

ps I do love my kids and wouldnt have it any other way
    Andrew

    Easy solution

Take the joeys with you. They would love some camping aound a fire, 4wding and playing in the bush or sand.

Whats your plans for the Oct long weekend?

      and BTW

Us South Aussies (even me as an ex WA) are a friendly easy going bunch so get on board the day out trips or overnighters. You seriously will not regret it.

I wanted to head out to the Flinders on the Oct long weekend, but as it turns out Kids have Little Aths, its the wifes Birthday and there is something else on I can't remember.

The kids love camping and 4wd'ing, but when it comes to Little Aths that comes first. The wife is prominent member of the committe and is one of the coaches at the club so its real hard to get away.

MLC I'd love to meet more members have met a few so far but the more the merrier.

Andrew, know the feeling, only just returning from a good trip I just want to get out again. Some friends went out East Macs (from Alice) last weekend, know I am seing all friends photos from their trip last week to Kakadu. Need to get back out there.

I have my sons school fete today, but will squeeze in a drive to Boggy Hole or Palm Valley today or tomorrow.

I am going to head out in around 3 weeks to Ruby Gap for a night or two, gives me something to plan and look forward to (quells the hunger)! I love how much the kids love camping as well.

That's the great thing about Alice, you've got some good 4wd'ing 1-2 hours away. Unfortunately any decent spots near Adelaide for a play have been closed by the dogooders
Our 6 year old and 3 year old try their hardest to make sure there is no time or money for the other baby

Yeah - it is a good place to live, the weather is just warming up now and is fantastic! Got to get out before it gets too hot.

Sounds like we will have to plan some more trips so you can read about more of our travels

personally I don't know how you do it, After the border track last weekend it is another 2 weeks before I get to go bush again, and then another couple before heading to the GTG in QLD, too long between trips for my liking

In between all that our son is racing at the Pedal Prix 24hr event in Murray Bridge, not exactly going bush but we are taking the CT for accomodation, so kids sport and getting out camping can be combined.

seriously though, surely the kids can miss sport once every few months for you to get out and about?

                  Cheers Andrew

Gee thanks Andrew its nice of you to get out and about more so I have more to read. Seriously I really appreciate you looking out for me

I am hoping to get out when we have a Friday night Aths meet that way we have the weekend free.

I still get out and about over summer, almost every 2nd weekend is spent up the river on my mates ski boat. The only issue now is I can't get a quick fix while up at Morgan because d1ck heads caused the quarry to be closed.

I'll try and keep my eye out for any PP day or weekend trips.
