    4 cyl RV Wanted

    Hi all, we are looking for a good 4 cyl petrol 8 seater. From what i have read they will suit what we are after perfectly. If anyone knows of a good one that will be available in tassie or even Vic in the next month or so please let us know.
    Also if there are any known problems (other than the standard low on power complaints {yawn} I like it slow)I have missed please feel free to let us know. Hopefully we will be in one by the end of the month.

    Petrol or diesel? There were 4cyl petrols at one time in the 90 and 120 series, but as you mentioned RV, I assume that you are after the 90/95 series.

      Erm, 2.7 4 cylinder 8 seaters don't exist to the best of my knowledge (not in Australia anyway, not sure about overseas markets). If you want 8 seats you will need a V6 or 4 cylinder diesel.

        4 cyl petrol Prados are only a 5 seater. If you want an 8 seater, then you have to go V6 or Diesel, The slowest Prado is the Diesel one, however it has better torque.
        Have a look on the web for some second hand Prados, you will find them quicker than us lot.
        97 VX Grande, with front & rear air lockers, ARB Sahara winch bar with tigers 11 winch, 2" EFS lift, 265/75/16 Achilles Desert hawk XMT, and more.

          the 2.7petrol is a great motor.
          you will find some optioned with 8 seats. i know of one
          2011 150series GXL

            4cyl petrol 120 GX did come with 8 seats standard.

                Hmm yes. Only 1 out of the 3 are 'possibly' 120 2.7L petrols.
                The 1st one does not have a sticker under the rear quarter window but I do see the 3rd row seats folded up through that window.
                The 2nd is a pic of a V6 as you pointed out.
                The 3rd one is a pic of a 1kz. And if anyone wants to see a white colour coded Sovereign bar

                    The 2.7 never made it into the 120 series in Australia, they did in New Zealand though, if you find one of them in OZ, then it is a second hand import from NZ.

                        2.7 120 series was definitely sold in aus.
