cannot get first or second gear. has anyone else had similar problems with this model. Has done 230,000 kms of trouble free motoring, just replaced the clutch

Your post does not give us much to go on. If you just replaced the clutch, sounds like a good place to start, maybe the clutch plate wasn't fitted propley, as williade says, can you get first or second gear when the engine is off?Comment

Many thanks for your prompt reply. Just tried it stationary, still having problems seems to be worse when driving trying to engage 1st or 2nd. No noise other gears are fine. Tried with engine off still had problems. Feels like the gear leaver does not go far enough left to engage the low gears. Again thanks for taking the time to replyComment

If the problem only started after the clutch was replaced, the issue could be with the linkage? Will take it back to the mechanic that replaced the clutch. It does feel like linkage problems. Thanks again.
