Don't remember them ever looking like that, in Australia anyway.

Im confused! That "prado" looks alot like an 80 series and you would be hard pressed to fit 10 - 15 pasengers in an 80 or a prado

Yes you're right an 80 series. It looks much better with a bullbar.

I think Australian versions had better looking lights / front grille?

I believe that is the old Land Cruiser 80 series. It has been long replaced by the LC 100 series . It is the most common Land Cruiser in the US. It only seats 7 adults and is re badged for Lexus and called the Lexus LS 470.

It's an 80 series Landcruiser (Not a Prado)- without a dought the most sought after and most reliable 4x4 ever. In SA you pay now more than the original price even if 10 years old. My daughter has a 96 4.2D turbo 24 Valve VX auto, UK spec with 155000 miles or 245000kms std Front and Rear diff locks on Coils on SFA. Factory fitted sun roof, electric and heated leather seats, twin air con front and back, leather seats wood grain dash. plus after market suspention OME etc etc. Motor still good for about another 180000 k's.

Many people would eat vomit to lay their hands on one of these. :twisted:

IMO It is one hell of a truck though. It was the first vehicle to cross Antarctica.

Interesting about that Thai bongo ute, I got around in Durban SA in something very similar. It didn't have a hard top on the back but a canvas roof and rollup sides.
