  • Quick/Dumb question - Polairty of Hella Socket

Im sure this is going to be a stupid question and hopefully someone can answer this in a matter of seconds. I got a hella socket from Jaycar but it has no polarity written on it. Im ASSUMING Outside = Neg, Inside = Pos. Can someone confirm please!

    Thx

Thats the way it is for a normal cigarette plug so I assume the same.

As a general rule, it's my belief that the negative/earth return is preferably the first connection to be made, so we're all right in saying centre pos/outside neg.Which is what happens when you plug in/out. Same in household GPO's the earth pin is the longest. Cheers..Grizz>
