I use the driving lights in the Bullbar with my spot lights and i find the driving lights throw enough light to the side so i run 2 spots in the middle

I must be slowing down in my old age .... as I changed from a spot & spread beam pair to two spread beams when I upgraded to HID.
For most of my driving the the distance a pair of HID spread beams lights up is more than my eyes can properly see. Sure the reflection a 1000 metres or more away is visible but no detail. The 500-600 odd metres I get with two spread beams is well and truly far enough for me to pick out skippy and his mates. As for reflections off road signs there are not that many signs out on the "highways" where skippy mostly lives to worry about

So imo, where you drive should dictate what light combo to use, lots of long straight blacktop get 2 spots, twisting roads probably a spot and spread pair, lots of wildlife and dirt roads two spreads as your probably driving slower anyway, so don't really need the distance anyway

Im using 3 IPF Extremes, 2 spread and one spot, all halogen and have been very happy.
                Excellent combo in most situations.
If I didnt have 3, I would go for one spread and one spot, which is a great compromise for most uses.

Depends on the state youre in too.

Didnt I tell you officer??????, the middle one is just for decoration and the other two are for "Off Road Use Only"

Actually, never heard of anyone being done for 3 lights and it went through rego check like that recently, no one was fussed!

Just a quick point, blatant is spelt wrong in your signature. It's "blantantly" obvious

oh, and you now have a green dot (so we are driving on the bitumen being a distinguished road, which sucks)

                            Fixed....

The constabulary in VIC have lately been red hot at popular 4wd areas pinging people for too many spotlights, non OE HID headlights etc.
