Protection for Dynamica (Dyneema) Rope

I am concerned about some sharp metal on my ARB bar that has the potential to cut my new rope.

I am after the protection that ARB put on the 150's where they cut the body to fit bars etc. It basically wraps over the cut area. Apologies for not being able to explain this better. It reminds me of the old door sill trim on an EH or HR Holden if that helps.

Finally, I am well aware that the hawse is suppoed to guide the rope, however the rope will go slack at some point of winching /unwinding etc and I am not prepared to risk damaging it as the offending edge sits about 10mm below the hawse in the "drop/sag" zone.

It's called pinch weld... and that's about all I know, speak to some towbar places or ARB even? I'm sure they both have it sitting around from when they cut bumpers.

I've been told Clark rubber may do something similar - I can pop down to the one a few doors down from us and ask if you like.

Yes it's called pinch weld, clarks rubber will have it, how much do you need MLC, I have put a pieceon my bullbar below the Hawse and probably would have a suitable offcut.

Thanks to all for this. AJ if you dont have an offcut I can source it from a clark rubber.

PS you either all have a good imagination or my description wasn't that bad.

Whilst you made it very clear what you were looking for I checked on mine just now and there's no way mine could touch - is this because the offset on your Hawse is much less than mine?

On mine it can touch if the tension of the rope is relaxed. It is a precautionary measure. I will show you when I'm in WA if your wifey gives yoy a day pass

Well, if you are going to show me yours I guess I'm going to have to show you mine Day pass shouldn't be a problem - multiple day passes might be different

You could use a door seal off an old car at the breakers
