  • NEW TJM Brendale Store

Just a quick heads up for the Northside guys, a new TJM store has opened in Brendale, I am going to pop out on Saturday for a look, time permitting. No affiliation at all, just a couple of mates working there so hopefully they can look after me on some prices:mrgreen:

    Address and info here www.tjmbrendale.com.au

    Cheers Daniel

    Daniel,

I have been in twice already and met Darren, really nice bloke with a wealth of knowledge and great service. It's great to have a TJM very local to me now. I can see myself dropping in. Can you get a TJM account like some people have TAB accounts, that way you could deposit funds into your account and then when you make a purchase it could come out of your account.

Darren is a top guy and so is Justin. This will be my new local, not so local TJM store... For all my ARB gear you still can't go past the John, Dean and the guys at ARB Bayside.

It still pays to shop around. I was after some bits for my newly acquired well used Rodeo 4x4 and both TJM and ARB were way off the pace compared with UV4x4 and OL. Wasn't concerned about brand so much as function but of the 4 TJM were miles behind. Went with UV and the service was great. Just my experience.

Are you comparing apples with apples or totally different products. I presume that you are talking about shops in North Brisbane.
Like Hutch I too have found UV very much an RRP price point and no movement on price. I have always found TJM very competitive.

Prior to this recent experience I found pricing to be very similar from all the vendors after a bit of haggling and depending on the brand some were better than others. UV have not done any work on my Prado for example. I also ring around pretty much all the shops in Brisbane since no one place is that far away. This time there was a couple of hundred $ in $3k which made a difference on a vehicle that isn't worth that much and yes all were quoting on snorkel, bar and suspension to the same standard albeit their own brands. There may have been some difference because I initially got pricing from B and had the work done at E. I ended up with a safari snorkel, OME suspension and ARB deluxe bar cheaper than ARB could do themselves and lots cheaper than the TJM equivalents. Might be a one off who knows I was just pointing out the need to always check the costs of alternatives. I suspect some of the lack of movement on price was the fact that I wanted bits for a 6 year old Rodeo and not a nice shiny new 4x4 for which parts were held in stock. I guess another case in point is maxtrax for $260 at the moment compared with a few $ more at the other outlets.

Anyway back on topic. I will go for a wander out to the new TJM place and see what deals are on offer...

With the New TJM store at Brendale it adds to UV 4x4 at Brendale, Ironman at Brendale, Opposite Lock at Strathpine. So now all your major brands are covered.

Just saw the Summer Specials catalogue on the TJM Brendale website - http://www.tjmbrendale.com.au/catalo...e/index.html#1
You can also find it on the home page of their website listed in the first post. The catalogue is only for the Brendale store.

Got sent the link on Facebook, to keep updated with their latest products and specials 'Like' them on Facebook, link is on home page. They are also giving away a camouflage TJM cap to one of their followers every week through Facebook.

One of the only things that I have won. I will wear it with pride! And maybe next time I will be as lucky as Snaga at a GTG!!!
Thanks Darren and the TJM Brendale team.
