That shelves that idea then. Was going to buy an all in one unit but I think I'll stick with the pre-historic Grande satnav unit which doesn't have Aux or bluetooth.

well so far I am reasonably happy. Only had it for a week but don't have to many complaints so far, took a little bit of fiddling to work out all the ins and outs especially with the ipod interface but once worked it out I find it OK to use.
Maybe not as good as the super expensive units but I can live with that for the cost.Andrew

I was looking at getting one of these as well, mainly for the reverse camera and ipod connectivity seeing the original sat nav can't do it, but now I'm questioning it as well. There are a few others similar from different ebay sellers, might go have a look into them.Paul

hi,
i have the oldest tp09x1 unit for 2 years now...i am
pretty happy with it...ok the ipod interface is not good....i just connect it to
auxillary and control the music from the ipod and it sounds great...as for the navigation
i have updated to the latest igo 8.3.5 with r18 whereis maps and a dimka skin which
allows me to add delete edit the speedcam file...i am also running oziexplorer and never had
a problem with it..i think oziexplorer is very simple to use...
for music i am using a usb stick(8gb)...sounds great..
the only issue i have is thet it has memory of only 64mb...since i updated to the latest
igo and map i cannot use tts voices...due to the larger map an poi file..but it does not worry me...
i am thinking of updating to the avn11p because it has 128mb of memory which will enable me to use tts voices
and all the custom mods....
as for the screen i have no issues even in sunlight...i think the tp09x1 is better in this respect..
i also found when i play music from the usb i find using the remote control is better for selecting songs or
folders....
with the navigation i have igo running with both navtech and whereis maps....i find navtech is better in regional areas and whereis better in the cities...
nick....

yep for the money I paid for it am am happy.Originally posted by Clackers View PostStill happy BlackVX?
Couple of things I have noted so far
1) you can only pair 1 bluetooth device at a time. if you pair another one itloses the previous pairing and you have to redo it every time.
2) the unit takes a while to boot up and by the time it has done this normally I have reversed out of the carpark or driveway so dont get to use the camera.
Apart from that I am happy with the unit so far. Havent played with Ozi yet so can't comment on that one.Andrew

Hi All, just thought i would reply. Andrew, as mentioned in an email the freezing Ozi is related to the sd card. Sadly our supplier switched card suppliers (to save their costs) so we had sent out a few without releasing. tracking down the limited number affected wasn't possible at the time though. If you are experiencing slow nav processing with the AVN please email us at [email protected]. We would be happy to exchange to resolve this problem. I would like to encourage everyone to email us if you have any problems and of course we still encourage you to discuss on the forum. Most if not all issues can be resolved. We will release a premium model soon which will address bluetooth and ipod functionality but sadly our cost also increases. We stand by the AVN which is still a fantastic product imho.

I've got a dig options unit i think its the dearer one (paid $1100 12 months ago) in my hilux and its been good. I'm about to put it in my prado i got today my only gripe is that FM radio reception is very average compared to the stock unit.2016 1GD GXL 6 speed auto, ARB colour coded summit bar, LED driving lights, duel batteries, BF Goodrich tyres, window tint.

both my tpo91x's have been shelved, absolute junk. 1 universal in my ford ranger and the prado model one. Again the ranger one cant find satellites, after 6 trips back assuring me it does... and the prado unit (my 4th) does what it wants, no steering wheel controls press navi, radio comes up, press mode navi appears, don't waste your money on these cheap Chinese units, sure the service is acceptable, but the products are below par.1st 2005 V6 auto in white.

Hi there, email us at [email protected] and i would be happy to send you a booster. My installer advises that with Prado 120s there's a wire that travels along the radio antenna cable from the car antenna which needs to be earthed and this will improve. Please note, I have not explored this further than what i was told so cannot vouch the info.Originally posted by azzss View PostI've got a dig options unit i think its the dearer one (paid $1100 12 months ago) in my hilux and its been good.
