Great Wall Ute as 2nd car...or 4 doorwheelbarrow with me kidding myself

Just looked at a Great Wall V240 2010 model 14,000 km for around $15K looking for a 2nd car to replace a small Kia Rio.
Thing looks like a pug dog from the front but I must admit I was a little surprised when I drove it with regard to noise, clutch drive quality etc...... I need a 2nd car that will do stuff around the yard and about 9000-10000 clicks a year...I know what people say but what do you all think.....remember 4 door wheel barrow that wont explode is the criteria!

I checked the site out and must admit there are a few people there that may be overstating their machines...but honestly we all cant afford these vehicles so I tend to give them a break...I again have to admit the vehicle drove well but the funny thing was the door handles I grabbed them and they were like that cheap veneer furniture your grandma always had...other than that drove well very very hard coming from the 150 though!

Many years ago my Fater in law bought a new TATA ute, he reasoned that for the money he paid for it new he would have got a 10 year old Hilux that had done 200,000k so how could he go wrong. Wasn't long and he wished he had bought the old Hilux, the Hilux would still be going strong now (mine is going strong at nearly 600,000).

Anyway, given that you only intend on doing say 10k a year, if you spend the same money on a Lux you should get something that is in decent nick, reasonably nice to drive and in 10 years time will still be worth some money. I doubt that the GW will be worth its weight in scrap metal in 10 years.

In the mean time, wash your mouth out with soap and go and have a good long look at yourself in the mirror, maybe even get your wife to slap some sense into you
