  • The little extras you get with a Prado :-)

Was out driving with my wife on the weekend when she said
Do you know the best thing about the Prado?
It has a lever to hang my handbag strap on.
We didn't have that on the Falcon.

The high low range lever. I just smiled and rolled my eyes at that one.

That little exercise will rub the silver colouring of the trim on the console.

Yeah, don't do it. The silver trim will cost more than any handbag!

I'll pass that on. Still smile when I think about it.

LOL wife was doing that and I said the same thing, "" put it on the back seat or pasengers floor"" She said she put it on there straight away so if anyone opens the passengers door they cant grab it while shes putting the 3 year old in, fair enough I said but the trim is worth more then your handbag and the crap within it (bottomless pit), I got a very deadly look and she flung it over the back hitting the velour lining on the roof on the way through, boy there were some words said then, and they come from me this time........hand bag now sits on the floor unless we are both in it then it sits on the floor in the back...the brush mark on the roof is still there but very very minimal. Wasnt happy Jan at the time................ Cheers Steve

Lol, my partner doesnt use the transfer shifter as a hook thankfully. She does however like to stretch her feet out on the dash on long trips. Just hope the airbags system isnt too sensitive to bumps or it could be a problem...:-?

Yes that would be "interesting". Could be a new Yoga pose and a real bad way to end up with foot in mouth.

Jokes aside mate I would get her out of that habit really quickly. Have you ever seen what an airbag does to some body with their feet on the dash ?? I have heard stories from my 3 neighbours who work in the ambo's from what they have seen regarding airbags and what they have done to people with there feet on the dash. It will either push there knees through their face obviously killing her or possibly brake her back with the force of throwing her legs either upwards or towards her face as mentioned. I cringe every time I see some one with their legs sitting ontop of a passengers side airbag......Please tell her not to do it.....................Cheers Steve

My wife does the same. Apart from the obvious danger should we have an accident and the airbag deploys, the footprints on the windscreen drive me nuts. (didn't mind a few footprints on the windscreen in my younger years though, more the merrier in fact)
Happy we don't have the stubby lever anymore too, her handbag rubbed the paint off the trim in no time.

The transfer lever is the best thing for securing the chinese takeaway on the way back home, stopping that spillage of sweet n sour sauce.
Feet on the dash, maybe this is the cause of so many 120s dashes splitting

I'd slap anybody who puts their feet up on the dash. Obviously, they haven't seen a patient with the femurs smashed all the way up inside their armpits following a smash.

Agreed - or also hands one of their arms out the window.
