I always mark every filter on every vehicle as we service all except those under warranty ourselves, it is good practice to mark them with the date they were installed i think.

As for the fuel filter, I believe they only change the one between the two tanks.

I was told the only time they change the filter (water trap) under the bonnet was when the light came on, on the dash... which is a little worrying.

I also assume you are talking about a 150 series, and $250 capped price servicing!? isn't it $210?

While your expectations are reasonable, you are stating the obvious and as a general rule I don't think it achieves anything for a customer to have a belligerent/aggressive attitude towards a manufacturer/service department before they have even provided any service(s) and/or made any mistakes.

If you weren't charged for the air filter than it would be reasonable to expect to pay for one to be fitted.

Ah... ok. I assume the filter which they change is the same? In the 150 manual it states its the fuel transfer filter I think.

            williade, your missing the POINT.
It is to be changed , As per the service manual, and IS included in the $250.00 capped service.
SO, IT SHOULD BE CHANGED !!!!

              I definitely agree with that.

yeah, it's in the book to be changed, so under the capped price servicing, it should be changed, for free.

Point taken. The way I read his post was that he was disputing whether or not he was entitled to a new air filter, not whether or he was charged for it.

I have no idea whether or not he was charged for a new air filter but if he wasn't, and the service manager says he wasn't, then it stands to reason that he is not entitled to one unless he pays for it.
