      My Wife & I just love the caravaning lifestyle. Can't get away often enough. We have a 6.1m (20 Ft) shower van that loaded is about 2.4 t. I know its there but once rolling is quite easy to manage. The V6 does it very well and gets around the 19-20 l/100k on average at 90 kph. The rig will do the speed limit quite well but the extra fuel used is not worth it, after all whats the hurry when you are on holidays. Though I do keep an eye on the procession behind and pull over when safe to let them through. The prado is so quiet and seats very comfortable on long runs.
      My best toy is my sat-nav. Its just wonderful, especially getting through Sydney without getting lost. Have just ordered a ScanGaugeII and look forward to the trip data it provides.

        I would love to cruise Australia at 90kmh but by the time I got there my holiday would be over.

          Hi I tow a 7.70 mtr ali hardtop fishing boat weight around 2.5 tons on the road with an auto 3.1 TZ diesel. on the hills (step ones) we can drop to 60 kph on the open rd we can hit 110 kph which is 20 over the limit do that with great care... 90 to 100 is easy. Fuel drinks pretty quick under tow.. but will be way better than a V6.. fitted air bags to the rear as tow bar weight is around 150kg which is heaver than I like working on the trialer balance...
