  • BFG Muddies

Hi For those that may be interested I just received a price from Tirerack in the USA for six BFG 265/70 R17 T/A KM2 tyres delivered to the Gold Coast. US$2290.46 (approx AUS$2139.30 ie $365.50ea) A bit of a saving but you would need to add fitting. Delivery time quoted six to seven days.

Reading from what others say, and also the opinion of a tyre guy I spoke to, there are no other charges to be paid.

If the cost of the tyres is over $1000 excluding freight, you will have to pay GST!

Only way to do it is to split the shipment under $1K parcels, but that adds freight ontop.

Also, customs aren't stupid. If they're all coming in at the same time they'll make you pay duty on the total value.

Not everybody gets caught with the import duty and GST, but by law you are meant to pay it. Up to you if you want to roll the dice.
