  • Bull-bar fitting

Hoping someone can carify this before I ask the dealer. I've just ordered a Prado with alloy bull bar. My question is whether I should expect the mper parts removed to fit the bull bar?? :?

Bullbar will replace the standard bumper bar.

Thanks, but should I expect the dealer to give me the parts?

Spot on ... and if your vehicle is the GXL or above (with the fog lights in the bumper) then the fog lights get transfered into the bullbar.

        Before

        After

... but I doubt whether the dealer will give you the parts they remove ... you still own them ... so ask for them.

        Cheers

I would doubt it. They have no need for it neither do you.

If you wanted it you could ask for it i guess.

Heck. I asked for my front bumper and the dealer says they will keep it aside for for me. I own it, so I'm taking it. I figure that when I go to sell the Prado a few years down the track the correctly coloured bumper could be a good selling point if the buyer prefers that option. Otherwise just advertise it, might make a few $$. I definitely had to ask the dealer for it though.

I also bought alloy rims for my GX which comes with steel rims. As the alloy's were additional to the complete package (not as a changeover) the steel rims were also mine. Had to specifically ask for them though and the dealer agreed.

there a sneeky bunch those dealers,
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.
