Steiner Binoculars?

Hi All

I'm looking at getting some Steiner Safari Pro 8 x 30's, or Safari Ultrasharp 8 x 30's.
Mainly for general purpose use such as touring, sporting events etc.

Do we have any PP optic nerds here and do you have experience with these or other bin's around the $200-$300 mark?

Check out http://btow.com.au/binoculars, the site isnt the cheapest but you can see a resonable range of different binoculars.

I use a set of Leica 10x42 Ultravids. They are simply superb and at the very top end of optics

Hi Trev,I use a Bushnell Trophy XLT 8x42,about $250,mainly for bird spotting and could'nt be happier

Some serious hardware there GB - are you a hunter or a twitcher (or other)?

Thanks Droggy - I'm finding bins are like tyres - the more I read and the more choices there are, the more confused I'm getting. I was looking at the Bushnell's as well.

From both your feedback it seems I can't go to wrong with a quality name brand in that price range.
