looks good Tiny. I only used the mount brackets that came with mine without the extra support of the angle you have, seems to be holding up no issues at all. I reckon you will pull the roof of the Prado before the awning falls off

I've had mine up in some pretty strong winds without issue, truth is the flapping in high winds will have you packing it away to stop the noise before it breaks from the wind. You can always add guy ropes if you want it up in gale force winds but I have never bothered.

    Cheers Andrew

It's permanently attached and hinged at the top. It just fold up underneath the arm and a Velcro strap holds it in place. I rarely even bother with it as its not needed.

Cheers Andrew. That's good. I didn't like that the Foxwing needed an extra bag.

Yeah, that's what sold me on it. It seemed ridiculous that foxwing would design a bag for the awning and not plan for the poles to be carried there as well.

Yeah, that's who I got mine off. She's based in WA and so far has only done western shows but is planning some in the eastern states later this year. Very friendly and great to deal with. There's a website and a facebook page she runs now too.

                  Hi Tiny

the rear z bracket could it be bolted to the underneath of the rack to lower the awning?

                  thanks

It might be possible depending on your rack. Very difficult on the pioneer platform as you need to bolt into the outside track and to make it fit there, the whole awning has to sit above the rack about an inch in from the edge. I couldn't do it with my setup but with a bit of engineering prowess you might be able to organise something. If you're local to logan, you're welcome to come and look at mine when I get back from the cape.

                    Tiny
