  • Looking for a decent Fire BBQ Plate/Grill

    Hi All,
Im not sure if this is a discussion had on here before, but I am having trouble locating a Sturdy BBQ Plate/Grill with folding legs, for cooking on the campfire. I have had one before that went AWAL but now can only find the flimsy ones in the camping stores. Anybody have any suggestions?
    Cheers

I purchased one of the maxi grill from http://thebegavalley.org.au/campfirecooking.html a few years ago.

Well made BBQ, sturdy and will last for years and great for camping in the one spot for a few days. Weighty bugger though, mainly as the plates heavy gauge.

Delivered within the week and the seller/owner rang later to make sure I was happy with it. Still am.

The Biji Barbi is fantastic. I have had one for 13 years and it is so easy to use and carry. See http://www.biji-barbi.com.au/about.html.

The Biji, looks like the way to go. Just out of interest WasteGate, Is the Maxi hard to set up and dismantle?

It comes as a flat pack with only a few bits to slot together. The rest of the gear either hangs from the top bar or sits on the cross bars. With a beer 👍in one hand it takes about a minute, less without.
