My shovel/axe holder is a custom made thing (by me!) and has a steel box at the bottom. I reckon a couple of the Maxtrax pins can be fitted there and then I will just work out somthing at the top. Having seen what the Maxtrax can wear through I am loathe to put them inside or even on top of the roofrack bag.

I have the maxtraxx mounting pin kit on Rhino HD rails. Works a treat.
        Cheers

I currently am getting a new version made up to try out (ver 1 on left, new ver 2 on right). These brackets are really only necessary if you have a cage on the roof also and dont wish to store the Maxtrax within the cage. I should have it back next week some time and will post a pic if anyone is interested...

          Hey craigm,

I just bought a roof cage which renders my maxtrax mounting pin set useless. Just wondering how you went with the brackets? What do they look like mounted on the roofrack?

I may be interested in a pair

          Thanks,
